Kilfrost has a strong commitment to protect the environment, have a positive impact on our employees, customers, suppliers, and community as well as ensuring we conduct our business ethically and with integrity.
Kilfrost and the environment
We recognise that we have a responsibility to support the environment. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business manual and operational procedures. We will encourage our customers, suppliers and stakeholders to do the same.
Our Commitments
In order to achieve this, we will endeavour to:
- Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and maintain a sound knowledge of current and future relevant environmental legislation.
- Improve our environmental performance and integrate recognised environmental management systems into our business operations as appropriate.
- Reduce the consumption of resources and promote the efficient use of these resources, increasing recycling and energy efficiency where possible.
- Where available, use local resource to help reduce CO2 and champion our local community.
- Communicate the importance of environmental issues throughout the business, internally and externally and encourage discussions.
- Enlist staff support in meeting environmental objectives where necessary.
Kilfrost, our people and the community
We hold high regard for our employees and recognise that a large proportion of our team live in the local community. We therefore feel we have a duty to support them and the area in which we work and live. We do this by paying fairly and respecting each employee and offering opportunities of career and personal development. We encourage these values to be adopted by all employees towards each other and all that we work with.
Governance
We realise that ESG is more than saying we will take certain actions and operate in a particular way. To this end, we will review our policies and performance at least annually.
