Ensuring railways keep moving even in the coldest conditions
Train services are required to run as efficiently as possible, to ensure passengers are transported to their destinations safely and freight is delivered with optimum efficiency. These constant operational needs are tested to the limit by winter weather. Frost, ice or snow can all disrupt rolling stock, railway tracks and stations and seriously affect rail timetables. To maintain operational effectiveness in winter conditions, it is necessary to remove ice and snow and if appropriate, protect against further icing.
Through our heritage of developing the first deicing fluid for use on aircraft, we have been at the forefront of deicing and anti-icing fluid for decades. And we have applied that knowledge to keep the rail industry moving.
